Dubai’s Beaches

Life’s a beach on the Arabian Gulf and Dubai is home to a fantastic collection of action-packed, family focused and escapist beaches  A hidden gem, Black Palace Beach (also known as Al Sufouh Beach) is a little off the beaten track for non-residents but absolutely worth a visit for its calm waters and chilled vibe. Out on Palm Jumeirah is the city’s chicest sun worshipping spot, Palm West Beach. Expect all-day beachfront entertainment, watersports and picture perfect Dubai skyline views from dawn to dusk, and beyond. For a lively beachfront experience, the water-lapping sands of the aptly named The Beach (JBR area)  is also populated with a wealth of cool cafés, restaurants and family fun experiences. A firm local favourite and a decidedly relaxed location is Sunset Beach (Umm Suqeim) and smooth stretch of sand. Further along Jumeirah Beach Road is Kite Beach, a hotspot for the city’s kite surfing community but also a family-friendly destination with great facilities and fab food truck scene. Alongside watersports there are volleyball courts, a skatepark and more. And, book-ending the coastal stretch of sandy destinations, La Mer is a lifestyle focused option with the Laguna Waterpark, a meandering promenade, cool shopping spots and plenty of dining venues.
